Privacy Policy

In brief
The Domain Check checks the availability of your desired domain. To do so, the domain name you enter is transmitted to public registry services (RDAP/WHOIS and a DNS query). This is technically necessary to determine "available" or "taken". There are no user accounts, no tracking and no advertising or analytics cookies. Inputs are not processed into profiles.

2. Domain query (core function)
When you check a name, your browser sends the request to our server. The server then queries availability at the responsible bodies:
- RDAP/WHOIS: The domain name is transmitted to the RDAP directory service (via the redirector rdap.org or the respective registry RDAP server) and — where necessary — to the registry's WHOIS server (port 43).
- DNS check: Additionally, the name may be queried via DNS-over-HTTPS at Google (dns.google) to detect an existing delegation.
Only the plain domain name (e.g. "your-brand.com") is transmitted. These services process the request under their own responsibility; we have no influence on their processing. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the requested availability information). At Google, your IP address may be processed and possibly transferred to servers in third countries (policies.google.com/privacy).
3. Caching
To relieve the registry services, we cache the result of a query on the server for a maximum of 6 hours, stored under a technical hash of the domain name. There is no assignment to your person, no IP storage in the cache and no evaluation.
4. Accessing the website (server logs)
When the pages are accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address, date/time, requested file, browser type). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (secure, stable provision). Hosting is provided by Hostinger International Ltd. as a processor.
5. Forwarding to registration
Via the "Register" button you are forwarded to united-domains.de. Only there do you actively decide to access the registrar's page; from that point on, their privacy policy applies. axaix only transmits the domain name you have chosen as part of the link.
6. Fonts (Google Fonts)
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). When the page is accessed, your IP address is transmitted to Google servers. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.
7. No cookies, no tracking
The Domain Check does not set cookies and does not integrate any analytics, advertising or social media services. No profiling takes place.
8. Editorial support
The design and technical support of the service is provided by NexTao GmbH (Düsseldorf, Germany, EU). No access to personal data of visitors beyond this is required.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and a right to object (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — for example the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es) or the authority responsible for you.
